***Goat Nutrition Coaching ***

Custom design of a grain / feed ration program for your herd, specific to your does, breeding bucks, and kids.  Based on your herds activity or whether you are trying to put weight on thin goats, or improve their condition, let me design a feed program for you.  Knowing the age, weight, activity level of your herd, and what grain feeds you have available in your area we can design a feed regimen so that you can mix 100 pounds or more of your own grains to accomplish what you desire in performance and a weight maintenance program.   The regiment worksheet(s) that you will be provided will give a breakdown of each feed along with the analysis for:  Digestible Energy, Total Protein Content, Calcium, Phosphorous, Magnesium, Chlorine, Potassium, Sodium, Sulfur, Cobalt, Copper, Iodine, Iron, Manganese, Selenium, Zinc, and Carotene Content. That way you will have a total ration breakdown of the feed you are giving to your does, bucks, and kids.

Here is a sample of the worksheet showing a sample of feed items:

*** Nutrition / Help-Hot Line ***

I have been involved with goats and their care for over 15 years and have self taught nutritional programs, maintenance programs, and medical programs.  Although I am not a veterinarian, I can assist you in the diagnosis and treatment of illnesses for your herd as many illnesses can be treated with over the counter medicines if caught early.  I suggest finding a livestock vet and developing a working relationship with them, however, there are times when a goat illness comes on quick and death can be sudden, so time is of the essence in getting treatment started immediately.  My expertise can help you to diagnose in the event of a goat illness situation so that treatment can be started immediately.  My Help-Hot Line is available to you 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and 365 days a year.  All of the information you provide is held in complete confidence as we value your privacy and will not share or sell your information.

Emergency / Help-Hot Line Program Prices:  $10 per call for diagnosis and determination.

Prior to the call, please provide the following:
  1. The weight of the goat
  2. Symptoms the goat is showing
  3. Rectal temperature of the goat
  4. When the goat was last wormed and with what medication.
